Zemco was founded in 1981 by an experienced tool and die maker in the basement of a service station. After years spent achieving success in various roles for industry stalwarts like AMP (TE Connectivity), DuPont and TRW, our founder decided to branch out and start his own shop, running machines for electronics assembly with one of his former employers as our first major client.

In 1989, we purchased and moved to our current 35,000-square-foot production facility, expanding our capabilities to include stamping and injection molding. Due to the full-service tool and die capabilities we had developed, we eventually entered into specialty machine building and full electronics assembly (taking on 30 different product lines to produce a wide variety of electronic connectors). Among our crowning achievements during our early years was the relationship we built with a global contractor, manufacturing and fabricating parts for the military.

Zemco Tool & Die

At the turn of the century, Zemco purchased and added the old AMP facility (bringing our total workspace to 150,000 square feet) in an effort to extend production to three shifts and further expand our shop and wire EDM capabilities. Around the same time, we decided to pursue ISO certification to improve upon our operations and better serve our growing client base.

We pride ourselves on our unique ability to build and run stamping dies, then move them directly into production for electronics assembly, production manufacturing and machining.
